Mountain Design »

This contemporary home designed by a reknowned Vermont architect is located on the edge of a steep mountain gully on the side of Mt Abraham in the Green Mountain National Forest. The project is notable for its many precise “jewelry box” details executed from carefully selected vertical grain fir. All the components milled at our shop in Benson. The exterior is all constructed of cedar built over Roundtree’s unique “drain plane” which ensures the that cladding and trim systems breathe, dry to the exterior, and will last a lifetime with minimal maintenance. The deck railing system incorporates a powder coated finish on its stainless steel parts which eliminate the possibility of rust which appears over time on so many typical exterior railings.
